Prior to sealcoating, the surface of the asphalt will be cleaned off using a high powered blower. Dirt and overgrowth will be removed from the edges and cracks, and oil spots will be treated with a special primer to allow adhesion. In some cases, pressure washing ( on smaller jobs ) or mechanical sweeping may be necessary to remove embedded sand and debris from asphalt pores. This is a MUST for proper sealcoat adhesion.
